Students will be serving with the Jacksonville Super Bowl Host
committee. Their primary functions may include data entry, public
relations, and volunteer coordination. The situation is a professional
sports management atmosphere located in a high intensity setting.
Semester missionaries will also serve as a liaison between the host
committee and Southern Baptist leadership. Flexibility and strong
decision making skills are needed. Creativity coupled with a cooperative
spirit preferred. This position is part of an overall evangelism
project. Candidates must have proven skills to present the gospel in a
professional setting.

The individual will engage students on several campuses. These students
for the most part are bi-lingual, French/English. The purpose of
engaging these students will be for developing relationships where the
message of the gospel can be seeded, taught, and cultivated. The campus
environment will vary in size, yet recent statistics place these
students in the two percent or less category for being evangelized or
living out their faith. A sense of urgency and an entrepreneur spirit is
a must for the student who will consider this request. The student
should have some basic working knowledge of French.
Collegiate Semester: MD01SM0405, BSM—University of Maryland, College
Park, Md.

The BSM has a strong tradition of ministry to the extensive
international student community here at the University of Maryland. The
process of reaching out to them is supported at the state level and
among our many alumni. Ultimately, we desire to see these international
students exposed to the gospel and a lifestyle of following Christ with
devotion, and the campus welcomes our efforts. The semester missionary
must be a self-starter, have a dynamic relationship with Christ, but
also be willing to work on a team. ESL training is a plus. Of course,
basic computer skills are necessary, as well as some cross-cultural
experience. A passion for house churches is welcome.

Students will work with other missionaries to Hispanics; will assist in
leading Bible studies, evangelistic visitation, VBS (in Spanish), and
discipling. Spanish is required.

Enjoy Colorado in the beautiful town of Monument, while ministering to
students and children. Experience outreach ministry in a culture that is
secular yet open to authentic witnessing. Interact with youth and
children in and outside of church/mission environment. Grow in your
faith and your spiritual gifts as you serve.

Students with an outgoing personality and the ability to adapt to change
will be providing assistance with a new church plant. This two-year-old
plant is located in a rural town in Vermont. Students will be building
relationships with the local community by volunteering in the public
library and public assistance office. Students will also work with
two-four mission teams during the summer to provide logistics and
leadership.
Collegiate Innovator: AZ01IN05, Grand Canyon Baptist Church, Grand
Canyon, Ariz.

As a summer Innovator at the Grand Canyon, a student will have a
full-time job with a local business. You will have the opportunity to
minister to and share the gospel with management, coworkers, and park
guests through life-style evangelism. You will live as godly examples,
setting moral and ethical standards in the workplace. Partnering with
Grand Canyon Baptist Church, you will minister in your “off” hours
through living as Christlike examples at all times and in all
relationships and creatively and intentionally sharing the love of
Christ with the people of Grand Canyon National Park. Examples of the
ministries that you will have the opportunity to serve in are worship
teams, youth/children’s ministry, community team serving the “locals”
that live in the park and internationals—ministering to those
individuals that travel from numerous nations and work for local
businesses inside the national park.
High School Sojourner: CA01SJ05, Pacific Association, Grover Beach,
Calif.

Sojourners will do VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, youth rallies, preschool
teaching, children’s camp duties, and various other activities in the
beach communities and coastal mountains of California. They may also
surf, deep-sea fish, and go to amusement parks and the Spirit West Coast
Christian Concert for free.
