THE ON MISSION CHURCH NETWORK CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
Children's On-Mission
Strategies
A mission education strategy is a
church-based plan to reach one of the nine fields of lost people and transform
participants by teaching missionary skills and leading them into an on-mission
lifestyle. It includes a personal commitment to Christ, an awareness,
understanding, and an accountable commitment to reach lost people in the
strategic field within a specified time period. It requires resources,
leaders/mentors, evaluation, and advocation. Tools to support strategies include
projects, products, and training.

are
kids in grades 1-6
who are learning to be on-mission to share Jesus. Does
your church need a GREAT program for boys and girls that
teaches missions awareness AND the skills
that missionaries use to tell others about Jesus? Do you
need a mid-week or Sunday night program? A drop-in to your
existing children's ministry to add a missions emphasis?
Do you need a unique Sunday School curriculum? Something
for a camp, retreat or weekend program?

Missionary Prayer
Trail
Create an outdoor or indoor prayer trail to help members
pray for missionaries and to raise awareness of national
and international missions. Incorporate a Prayer Trail
into a regular church program (a Wednesday night
activity, for example) or into a special camp outing.
The possibilities are endless. Suggested ideas:
- Select stops along a
hiking trail for Prayer stops
- Select stops in and/or
around your church for Prayer Stops
- During a mission fair,
include Prayer trail booths/stops around the room
