THE ON MISSION CHURCH NETWORK SPEAKERS
How long has it been since your church family
heard a Southern Baptist missionary speak during worship? One of the
most effective tools for mission awareness is creative use of mission
speakers. Here are some ideas for enhancing the use of on mission
speakers.
Vary the setting:
In addition to have missionaries and other on mission
Christians speak during a regular or special worship service take
advantage of these other existing opportunities of having a missionary
before various segments of your church family.
Deacons Meetings & Retreats:
What better way of encouraging your church family to be on
mission with God than providing a challenge to you church leaders.
Invite an international, a North American missionary, state
missionary, associational missionary or volunteer to present a
testimony on where God is at works. During a regular meeting of your
deacons or annual deacon’s retreat.
Children's worship:
Invite missionaries and mission volunteers to participate in
children’s worship as a special guest speaker. Have them present
short segments on how God called them into being on mission,
introduce the people they minister with, share things from the area
they serve (souvenirs), share how the children can support their
ministry, etc.
