An On Mission Team is a catalytic group of growing, serving Christians whose passion and focus is to lead the local church to be on mission with God in reaching its community and its world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Lead churches to partner or plant new churches.
Lead churches in strengthening involvement in missions through promoting regular opportunity for missions volunteerism.
Lead churches in strengthening missions awareness and mobilization by developing and implementing a church Mission Education strategy, which includes missions organizations and churchwide approaches.
Lead churches in strengthening its support of missions through praying for missionaries and other mission concerns.
Lead churches in strengthening its support of missions through giving.

Spiritually awakened to their personal responsibilities for the Great Commission of Jesus.
Continually adjusting to remove barriers that keep people from hearing the gospel.
Evangelistically activate in a lifestyle where their unique, God-given gifts are used naturally by the Holy Spirit to lead people to Christ.
Passionate advocates of the multiplication of on-mission Christians and churches.
Individual churches may choose a variety of structures or names for their On Mission Team.
Leaders from churchwide affinity groups, such as men’s/women’s ministry, youth ministry, and children’s ministry.
Leaders from Mission Education organizations such as GAs, RAs, Acteens, Challengers, Women on Mission, and Baptist Men On Mission.
Leaders of outreach in Sunday School classes.
Church staff from areas such as evangelism or missions.
Prayer Coordinator.
Church lay leaders involved in community ministries.
Church pastoral staff.
