Ty is a member the Cooperative Strategies Team of the North American Mission Board and serves as the Team Coordinator for the Chruch Finance Ministry. He also works with associations, state conventions, and foundations as well as other professional organizations in the area of church finance, church facilities, financial planning and stewardship.
He is a graduate of McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and is a native of the Bayou State. Ty and his wife, Terri, have been married for 26 years and have a son who is attending Boyce College. They reside in a suburb of Atlanta, GA. He joined the Church Finance Ministry in 2001. Prior to joining the North American Mission Board staff he served as the Church Services and Business Support Group Leader for the State Convention of Baptist in Ohio for 6 years. Before entering full-time Christian vocation he was employed in the airline industry for 15 years, the last 10 years in various management capacities with American Airlines. He also is experienced in general contracting.
He has served in various layman capacities in churches in Louisiana and Ohio. He is currently a member at FBC Woodstock. He serves churches through the Church Finance Ministry to encourage and empower the church to make wise stewardship decisions as they pray and seek ways to modify their facilities and accomplish the ministry goals of the church.
